A day in the life of Lilly K.
Lilly reached out to shoot one of my favorite kinds of shoots: a hybrid of documenting + portraiture. She was in NYC for less than 24 hours to attend the MET Gala and so our goal was to do a portrait session to create strong publicity images showing her both dressed up and in a more casual and relatable way, but also to document her preparation for the big night. It was a hectic day and we were even joined by a German television crew who was interviewing Lilly as well, but we got more than enough great images to present to you a slice of time with a wonderful talent and person.

A MOMENT OF PEACE
Back in her hotel, we opted for classic, relaxed styling for a range of expressive portraits.
PREP TIME
Here I took a documentarian role, capturing her makeup and styling preparations as well as the rest of the interview.
PARTY TIME
A little fun before Lilly was swept away to the gala.
